R.E.M. (confirmado) en el Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
 Finalmente, R.E.M. entrará a formar parte del Rock and Roll Hall Fame. Tal y como informábamos en el mes de octubre, el grupo había sido incluido en una primera selección junto a otros nombres míticos. Finalmente, los elegidos han sido:R.E.M. (Bill Berry, Peter Buck, Mike Mills, Michael Stipe) Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five (Kid Creole, Cowboy, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, , Mr. Ness, Raheim) The Ronettes (Estelle Bennett, Ronnie Spector, Nedra Talley) Van Halen (Michael Anthony, Sammy Hagar, Alex Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen, David Lee Roth) y Patti Smith.
